YES circuits do share grounds. what problems are you having? we can try and narrow down your ground location from there
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
the people that i bought it from said the computer was bad. I have been just trying to double check some things. The fuel pump does not come on with the key.
Expert:  tripletauto replied 5 years ago.

HERE IS A WIRING SCHEMATIC. you need to check for power at the fuel pump and if nor power check at relay. should hear relay click when first cut key on pump is energized for two seconds and then when in crank mode also check for your ground at the pump

if the computer was bad would the fuel pump work
Expert:  tripletauto replied 5 years ago.

most likely not. the ecm controls the fuel pump relay which controls the pump. so if it was bad it would not work although ecm can be bad and still allow pump to run depends on what circuits in computer went out.

do you know if a replacement fuel pump would need to be flashed?

I will continue to assist you. Right now you need to check for power at the pump when first cut key on and when cranking. If you have power then pump is bad. If no power then a wiring issue, bad relay or faulty computer.
