I own a vauxhall omega, 2.5, 6 cyl, DT (BMW ENGINE) 1999, My issue is the viscous fan is on all the time and the engine is not getting to 95 degrees, can i take the fan out and run with out it Paul

Welcome to Just Answer, I would not touch the fan as it may cause too much harm instead I would fit a new thermostat and then see how performs.

In the winter it is quite normal for diesel engines to take a long time to warm up (I have 2 and the heat only starts to come through after 15 minutes) another thing to try is to blank off 1/2 of the radiator with some cardboard.
