CarDoc :

Hello, I'm Jason. I will do my best to answer your question quickly and accurately using the information you have provided.

CarDoc :

I assume you're speaking of the in-dash player?

CarDoc :

Absolutely do not remove the faceplate

CarDoc :

you will need some serious patience and a set of 4 radio removal keys to get the head unit out of the dash

CarDoc :

it will not lose coding memory though

Customer:

What are radio removal keys?

CarDoc :

let me show you a picture...

Customer:

OK

CarDoc :

they are a set of 4 blades that go into these locations:

CarDoc :

you will then need to disconnect all of the connectors at the back of the radio

CarDoc :

once it's all free, time for disassembly, which it what will take some patience and mechanical know-how

Customer:

I think this is beyond my level of expertise

CarDoc :

sorry.....your only other possibility is to remove the radio fuse, plug it back in and see if that allows it to eject

Customer:

Thank you, XXXXX XXXXX looks as though the dealership (grr) might be my only option. By the way, where does one get those radio removal keys?

CarDoc :

and the fuse in question is 37
