kms..Fuel consumption..5.2 - 5.6 litres per 100km..jumped..tanks

Resolved Question:

Hi Have 130 CRDi with 118000 kms. Fuel consumption has always been within 5.2 - 5.6 litres per 100km. Consumption suddenly jumped to 6.6 about 4 tanks ago with no change in drivig patterns. Have had vehicle to dealer but they say there is nothing wrong. What should I be looking for - dealer is a waste of time.

Did the dealer tell you what they checked?

I assume there are no codes?

Dealer said they did a scan on the car and all looked ok
Expert:  Neal replied 4 years ago.
I would be looking at the air flow sensor and the o2 sensors. A good scan tool can monitor the readings from your sensors and look for abnormalities. Maybe a good local shop can do this for you?
