DTC P1326: ION SENSING MODULE COMBUSTION QUALITY CIRCUITCircuit DescriptionPCM checks validity of signals used in ION Sensing Module at various engine operating conditions.Test is performed to evaluate Combustion Quality (CQ) signal pulse width if it is withinpredetermined range. If CQ signal pulse width is out of predetermined range, fail counter will beincremented. If failure counter exceeds calibration, test is complete and a failure record will bereported. If same counter threshold is reached before failure threshold, then test is complete and a passwill be reported. This test will detect an open or short in CQ line circuit, ION Sensing Module faultsand analog input faults in PCM. Conditions for setting DTC:Ignition • voltage is between 11 and 16 volts.• No Crank DTCs set.• No cylinder ID DTCs set.
will this keep the engine from starting
would this be something to change, i tried changing the crank sensor and that didnt help
Do you have volt meter?
I will give you diagnostic instructions, and diagram,..
if this doesnt help to get it to start do you have any other suggestions
Replace and Reprogram PCM
what is the pcm
Powertrain Control Module(computer that controls engine)
thanks for your help
Turn ignition off. Disconnect ION Sensing Module and PCM harness connectors. Check wireharness between PCM and ION Sensing Module circuit at CQ line harness connector. . If problem is found, repair as necessary and retest system. Ifproblem is no found, go to next step.2.Disconnect ignition coil. Check ION Sensing Module wire harness between ignition coil and ION Sensing Module circuit at ION Sensing Module harness connector. If problem is found, repair as necessary and retest system. If problem is not present, go to next step.3.Check ignition coil, ignition coil circuit and ground circuit for poor connections. If problem ispresent, repair wiring harness as necessary and retest system. If problem is not present, go to next step. Replace ignition coil. Retest system. Go to next step.Check ION Sensing Module ground circuit for poor connection. If problem is present, repairwiring harness as necessary and retest system. If problem is still present, go to next step. Ifproblem is not present, go to step
