2007 Suzuki Reno: 3rd gear..shifter..recall or tsb on this issue

Resolved Question:

I have a 2007 Suzuki Reno, and when cold and accidentally I shift into 3rd gear it grinds down into a lower gear, or will even do so sometimes when the car is in old fashion drive gear. Could it be the transmission shifter, that everybody keeps talking about, that goes bad on all Reno's and has their been a recall or TSB on this issue?

Customer:

trannny fluid level is good.

Customer:

no leaks found..

Randy :

I am going to research those symptoms and I will get right back to you.

Customer:

ok. and thanks.

Customer:

happens when I leave the driveway after shifting from R to D or 3.

Customer:

Hi...If you are busy and just want to email me the info that will be ok also...

Randy :

I was looking over all the symptoms listed in my database for this vehicle and I do not find any listed as you described. I have heard grinding sound when shifting from reverse to drive on similar vehicles. I recommend having transmission serviced at a qaulity professional that specializes in transmission repair and ask them to add trans conditioner as it will soften the sealing rings inside your transmission and improve its performance when cold.
