2011 Ranger: jump start..a warning message popped up..Charging system

2011 Ranger Rover sport was used to jump start another car. Afterwards a warning message popped up "Charging system fault" along with battery symbol and red triangle. Says to push "ok" to reset. When pushing 'ok', it does not reset. Do not know what has gone wrong. Please help.

Yes there is an issue with the vehicles charging system low voltage . It's either a faulty alternator or a harness or computer issue. Need to bring it to the dealer and have them test the charging system and look at all components in the data list screen of the scanner . This is covered under warranty. If the charging system does fail it will cause the vehicle to stall and leave you stranded . It's not clearing because there's a hard code . These are the next steps. Hoped this helped.
