I have a 2005 Sentra 1.8. I posed a question in September 2010 about replacing my starter and here it is June, 2011 and my starter problem resurfaced. This time I purchased the starter myself from Pep Boys and a neigbor mechanic installed at my home. Should I be concerned about this happening in the very near future and if so is there something I can do to help avoid this happening.
Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX X can assist you.
Re manufactured starters are a gamble.. More then likely price shoping on a starter is not a good thing to do. Would highly recommend that you purchase the best quality that is offered if you have to replace the starter again. Most parts stores will offer several different prices of re -man starters. Get the best one to save yourself any headaches. One last thing that you might do is to make sure that your battery cables are clean and the ground wire from the battery to the frame or engine is tight and clean, this has solved several problems for me in the past.
Hope this helps. please click on the ACCEPT button if I have answered all your questions. Please ask if you need more assistance Bonus is always appreciated . I will post positive feed back for you, please do the same for me.
