Sts: alarm system..lights, doors and hood ,truck & batt

i just asked u how 2 reboot the 1994 north star sts. i forgot i did that already but it acts real finicky at idal, there is an after market alarm system hooked into, lights, doors and hood ,trunck & batt. could this be the sorce of problem?

the aftermarket alarm will not cause the idle problem. Since disconnecting the battery did not resolve the issue, this means you have an actual problem that needs to be diagnosed and repaired as it isnt a computer issue.

Erratic idle and other idle problems are due to either a vacuum hose leak, intake manifold gasket leak, weak fuel pressure, faulty fuel pressure regulator, faulty Idle Air Control valve, faulty Throttle Position sensor or faulty throttle body.

All the above will need to be tested and checked to find out which is the cause of your idle problems
