95 isuzu: home from work and it just died

Customer Question

i have a 95 isuzu rodeo.drivin home from work and it just died.you try to start it and it just spins.first thought was timing belt.took the cover off and the timing belt was there and looked brand new.next was fuel.check pressure on valve behind throttle body.seemed weak so i changed fuel pump.pressure improved but still wont run.i obviously checked spark before i changed fuel pump,it does have good spark.lastly i checked compression ,seems fine.please HELP!!!i'm at my wits end.

Hello my name is XXXXX XXXXX hope I can help you with your problem. Try pinching off the rubber fuel lines (both) and then crank the engine with the throttle to the floor. It might be flooded.

its been sitting in the garage for a week now.wouldn't it be dried up by now?
Expert:  Mike Senary replied 6 years ago.
Yea thats not it then. Are the injectors making a clicking noise when cranking?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
yes.listened to them with a stethiscope

Is the cam actually turning when cranking? The timing belt could be missing the teeth around the crank pulley. You say it just spins? Is the starter turning the engine?

Hi welcome to JA.com.I will answer your question the best I can,

When you said just spins ? does this mean you can not feel hear compression ,??

I suggest you do a compression test then get back to me.

Kind regards Greg
