Isuzu pickup normal cab Least number of steps to replace mechanical

Least number of steps to replace mechanical fuel pump 94 Isuzu pickup/carbureted situated on engine left side under carb. Book says remove intake manifold assembly and it looks impossible.

So did you pull the intake manifold?

It looks way too tight to remove the bolts without first removing the carb.

Yeah you will need to remove the carburetor also. Here is the picture and steps.

Wouldn't it be simpler to leave fuel pump in place and just add electric

BigBob :

That is a good question. It would save some labor cost. Most shops don't want to be responsible for any "modifications" so usually they keep it factory. If you have a mechanic who will do it, then yeah. You still would have to install a fuel filter and run some wiring, but you would probably save some.
