Hello and thank you for using Just answer!
I'm Billy and i will assist you with this.
Feel free to ask if you need any further info.

I would appreciate some more info on the matter:
- do you have a manual or automatic transmission?
- was any recent work or service done to the vehicle?
- do you have any other symptoms?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
Its Automatic transmissiom, I don't know, bough it as is added oil but did not change anything. the car will drive, but will not change to any other gear, reverse is fine.

Hello again,

The first thing to do in your case, would be to replace the automatic transmission fluid and filter.

For that you need to drain the fluid, remove the sump (of transmission of course), replace the filter, and the gasket, refit the sump, and refill with fresh fluid.

I will include the details:

The people I bough it from said they did that, they change oil and filter, could it be sensor or shifter?

Expert:  nabilc replied 5 years ago.
It might be sensor or other (solenoid etc...):
However, to check for these, you would need to have the car hooked on a scan tool (tech II preferrably), to retrieve any fault codes, and to check the live stream or data getting to transmission, to confirm any faulty component.
