1991 mazda B2600: I used radiator leak sealer..selector valve

Resolved Question:

1991 mazda B2600-p/u truck. "No Heat," This problem seems to have started after I used "radiator leak sealer" and erroneously failed to open or select "heat" during this process.. I have replaced thermostsat, but I suspect the selector valve may be stuck shut. If it is the problem, how do I find the valve and how do I replace it ..I can move the selector knob, and have disconnected cable at actuator.. it moves very freely..could this be a sheared shaft to valve ???

Hello and thank you for using Just Answer

I'm Paul and I will help you with your Question

the cable is connected to a Blend door not an actuator

the heater core gets hot coolant all the time

bring the truck up to temp and go under the hood

hold both heater hoses that go through the firewall

if one is hot and the other is not the heater core is restricted

the only chance you have at clearing it is by removing both heater hoses from the core at the firewall

use a garden hose to backflush the core in both directions

let me know what you find and if you need more help
