Hello and welcome to JA!!!
I'm Billy and i will assist you with this.
The fault code P0606 would be triggering the warning light.
The P0606 means that the ECM (engine control module) is faulty, and needs replacing.
I would first try removing the battery cable for a few minutes, to reset the system.........
Be aware that by doing so, you would need the radio code, if the radio is fitted with antitheft.
However, if the warning light goes back on, and the fault code remains.........it means the ECM is faulty.............
You may try reprogramming it, using an Alfa romeo scan tool, and if that does not work, you would need to replace the ECM.
Good luck, hope the reset does the trick....
the car sound like it is struggling to start?
Well, a faulty ECM would cause this.........it would also cause various other symptoms or problems.
However, the fault code you have clearly indicates an ECM failure........
So i suggest you try resetting be removing battery cables.......and if that does not cure the problem........you would need to reprogram or even replace the ECM.
That should be done at an alfa romeo specialist, as the reprogramming or replacing, would require specialized diagnostic tools (scan tools)
do you require further info on the matter..........
