dont care how i start my car but my key wont turn..turn key

i dont care how i start my car but my key wont turn at all the stering doesnt lock and its in park its the ignition it self i want to pop it out and just deal with the fact of a screw driver i dont care but it has factory alarm and dont want it to go off can i pop it out with out having proplem with alarm i never set my alarm anyway its a 98 i have four kids and dont have time for my car not starting cause i cant turn key

- are you pressing on the brake pedal while trying to turn the key?

- are the brake lights working?

- have you tried moving the lever to N, or get it back to P (as it may be stuck close to P)

Hello again,

There is a TSB (technical service bulletin or known fix) regarding your issue, and you according to this, you would need to replace the ignition lock switch....

PS: try inserting the key the other way, and look for any blown fuses before getting to this.
