back-hatch just behind the rear wiper rotatingpoint..fan speed..doors

This answer was rated:

With main ventilation fan in operation, this seems to effect an electrical, rotating (strong sound) device in the back-hatch just behind the rear wiper rotatingpoint. Increased noise with increased fan speed. Rotating noise seems to disappear when electrical lifted sidewindows or doors are beeing opened. This has been going on for a few weeks.
What can be the problem?

Hello and welcome to JA!!!

Billy :

I'm Billy and i will assist you with this.

Billy :

You most probably have a short circuit causing this issue......

Billy :

However, the first place to look, would be on the wiring harness near tailgate hinge.....this is known to cause problems.....

Billy :

so check the wires, and inspect if any is loose, or short to earth (chassis), and repair the wires, and this should cure your problem.

Merry Christmas!
