Hello Sir, and welcome to JA!!!
I'm Billy and i will help you with your inquiry.
Now the CVT fluid differs a lot from automatic transmission ATF, so never put generic Dexron III or something like that
Your car needs, Esso 71242, or equivalent, that would be only available at the dealer.
Get the fluid from dealer, and you can ask for an owner's manual which they may be able to supply.
Many thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately the Esso 71242 is not available here, can you advise an alternative please?
CVT transmissions are relatively new on the markets, and very few models have them installed, so there is no generic CVT fluid that i can recommend safely.
The only fluid recommended for your vehicle, would be the OEM recommended fluid, which should be available at any Suzuki dealership.
Now, if the dealership where you reside do not have it at the moment, you can have them order it for you.
They should supply any spare part or fluid related to a suzuki model.
If you really want a fluid other than that recommended by Suzuki, i suggest you check out this site:
But i still recommend the use of Suzuki recommended fluid, which should be available at any Suzuki dealership.
thank you once again for your help
