Heater control..2001 silverado..Blend door actuator..intermitently

Resolved Question:

heater control does not work consistently on 2001 silverado. Seems to reset when truck is turned off. Blend door actuator works intermitently.

The problem is a faulty temperature door actuator. This is a fairly easy repair job. The actuator is located on the bottom of the a/c case, just to the right of center above the transmission hump. You may have plastic panels below the dash that would need to be removed for access to the actuator.


Actuator is held in place with 2 screws.
