Do you get a clunk when shifting to drive or reverse?
yes when going into reverse
cam you rock the gas peddle on and off in drive and hear a clunck I am thinking bad motor mount
you would have to hear it up front. check mounts for loose or broken pads
no the engine will just torque up not like a bad motor mount

have you done a visual on mounts yet
yes there original but still good

i dont think so, it holds a rpm fine and it doesnt want to die and the problem only showes it self when ideling (in gear not not)
you may be idleing to low.
does it seem the same as before idle rpms?
If so I believe your harmonic balancer needs reblacing.
low idle is aprox 600-650, im not quite clear on "does it seem the same as before idle rpms?"
has idle gone down? or idle rpms same?
no they have allways been the same
If idle is same then i would go with a fluidampr harmnonic balancer. it will run as smooth as a 6.0
you notic smoother acceration also
okay how difficult would insatlling that be, im mechanicaly inclined but i dont have maeny specilized tools

alright im going to have some of that stuff out when i put the new rad. in, is the damper keyed or is there a special way to put it on
