Hi, fuse 42 in the auxiliary relay panel under the left side of the dash is for the cooling fans.

eurotec :

eurotec :

It should be at position A or B in the panel. Yours being a UK car I should state that the relay panel is under the driver's side dash.

JACUSTOMER-ib5tbcox- :

no fuse panel under dash onlly a parcel shelf ?

eurotec :

It's behind the parcel shelf.

eurotec :

JACUSTOMER-ib5tbcox- :

Do I need to remove parcel shelf

eurotec :

Yes you do in order to see it.

JACUSTOMER-ib5tbcox- :

Ok I dropped the shelf I can see some relays a 60a fuse and 2 green fuses ?

JACUSTOMER-ib5tbcox- :

the green fuses are metal enclosed

JACUSTOMER-ib5tbcox- :

Is a 98 model different as my car was first sold jan 98

eurotec :

The big fuse is for the fans. Have you tested the circuit yet?

eurotec :

Do you have power to the thermal fan switch?

eurotec :

I'll check the schematic on a 98 but I have to leave for about an hour. Can you wait until I return?

JACUSTOMER-ib5tbcox- :

yes I can no problem its raining like hell here, where is the thermal fan switch ?

eurotec :

The big fuse only carries the load for the fans but there is a 15 amp fuse that powers the thermal switch. That fuse should be under the hood.

eurotec :

The thermal fan should be in the bottom of the radiator.

eurotec :

Be back soon.

eurotec :

I'm back if you have any questions.
