2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue: with a 3.5L v6 northstar engine

Customer Question

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue with a 3.5L V6 Northstar engine that needs new engine coils. I'm being quoted $265 ea, just for the coils--presumably from a dealer. Should I look into buying them on my own from a diccount dealer, and if so, from where?

The price you have been quoted is a discounted price. The dealers price on the coils is $820 each. The part # XXXXX(NNN) NNN-NNNN Most parts discounters sell this part for around $500. If you are looking for the lowest possible price, check as they are often the cheapest source for parts. They sell the AC Delco parts and aftermarket as well.
