Resolved Question:

What would cause my car to backfire and have no power when I hit the gas? I doesnt do it after it runs for a bit but it still doesnt have power like it should. I have already changed the plugs and wires and it didnt help.

This sounds like a fuel problem. First try replacing the fuel filter. If this does not help, test fuel pressure with a gauge. If your fuel pressure is lower than specified, replace the fuel pump.


Key On Engine Off 35 - 45 psi
