Prizm: geo..stutters..15 mph till I got to about 35 mph

Resolved Question:

Hi. My 1995 geo prizm stutters and dogs between 15 mph till I got to about 35 mph. Any ideas? Do I need a new spark plug?

Do you have a check engine light on?
It sounds like the vehicle has a plug/ coil/ distributor issue.
Check strength of spark at the plugs with a round blade screwdriver - look for a good 1/2 inch minimum nice strong blue spark. If spark is weak at the plugs, take the distributor cap off and check for spark right out of the ignition coil in case of a possible secondary ignition problem. Check for battery voltage on the Black/Red wire in the two wire connector to the distributor. The Black/Red wire is battery voltage to the ignition coil and the igniter. Verify the distributor has a good ground through its mounting.
