The cooler goes in between the top line and the transmission.

The transmission fluid boils around 400C or close 600F.

IS THAT LINE GO TO THE TOP OR BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR? WHAT TEMP. IS NORMAL FOR THE FLUID TO BE AT WHEN TOWING?
Expert:  GM Tech (Cam) replied 6 years ago.

Top line at the rad.

Normal is about 200F since it runs through the rad at engine temp .

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
SHOULD I RUN IT WITH OUT GOING THROUGH THE RADIATOR?
Expert:  GM Tech (Cam) replied 6 years ago.

NO!!! Always use the rad as well.
