2001 GMC: hood latch..unbolted..release..the plastic grommet that

Resolved Question:

2001 GMC Jimmy hood latch assembly replacement...assembly is unbolted from body, end of release cable is "unclipped". How do I remove the cable from the assembly without damaging the plastic "grommet" that holds it to the assembly?

  • Place a flat-bladed tool into the cable clip.
  • Pry the cable clip open in order to remove the cable.
