It's a pretty long job, since you have to remove the compressor you will need to have it to a shop anyway. The book calls for 4.5 hours of labor for this job.


  1. Remove the radiator upper sight shield.

  1. Disconnect the power steering reservoir pump hose.
  2. Raise the vehicle.
  3. Remove the air conditioning compressor.

  1. Remove the nut and the routing bracket.

  1. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose.

  1. Remove the four bolts and the power steering pump.


  1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
  2. Install a new seal on the high pressure line fitting.

  1. Fill and leak check the system.
