2002 hyundai santa fe: at 94,000 miles..reverse..neutral..towed

Customer Question

i have a 2002 hyundai santa fe at 94,000 miles and it was driving fine, i stopped somewhere put it in park for maybe 2 minutes and put it back in drive and it wouldn't go anywhere. We tried drive, reverse, everything it wouldnt even roll in neutral. We had it towed and the front wheels wouldnt roll at all. No noises, other than just revving up, it would jump a little and act like it was going to go but never did. Can you help me?

It sounds like the shift linkage came disconnected from the transmission so it is stuck in park. You will need to jack the car up and check where the linkage goes into the transmission.
