2000 olds bravada: the rear axle to replace bearing

Customer Question

Ive got a 2000 olds bravada with smart trac. I am trying to remove the rear axle to replace bearing but cannot get the axle off. I have removed the rear cover. I have removed the axle lock pin. I have read on other forums that there may be a C clip holding the axle. I cannot locate the c clip. Does anyone have a picture or does the smart trac rear end have a c clip at all? or is the axle just friction fit in a spline and needs to slide hammer it to remove it?

Thanks,
Eric
