2000 kia sportage: the ac belt..pull..idler pulley

This answer was rated:

Trying to change the ac belt on a 2000 kia sportage. Was able to pull the idler pulley and remove the damaged belt. Replaced it with a belt that was 35 inches in circumfrence. The belt appears to be a bit smaller than the one removed. Do I need to adjust with the other bolt below the idler pulley and if so what direction do I go in?

Hello I iwll help you with your question,
