1998 mazda 626: v6..Finished blowing water..guage..head gaskets blown

Resolved Question:

Have 1998 mazda 626 v6 have engine internal water leak (bought vehicle with possible headgasket problem). My testing has not included compression test yet ,but to start pulled plugs and all 6 showed some water on firing area of plugs ,engine turned over very smoth(with plugs out) with no cyclinder popping of compression. Finished blowing water out of cylinders cleaning plugs and reinstalled then tried turning engine over with ignition- spun very freely with no firing of cylinders sounds.I know I have to check ignition for firiing and compression(have to borrow comprestion guage for that) but water in all cylinders and no apparent sound of compression make me think theres some other leak beside both head gaskets blown.

Welcome to JA.

If think you are not getting compression then you will have to perform a cylinder leak down test. This will help you isolate another source of a leak whether it be a valve or rings etc.
