bad bushings would make the rodeo make a thunk and jut forward when i come to a complete stop or when i step on the gas? It's really hard to describe what it's doing but when i stop it makes the thunk and the car jumps, not wild, just a little jump and the same thing when i step on the gas again...the odd thing is, if i come to a stop real slow, it doesn't happen...

thanks,

AJ

AJ check the bushings ,i see this alot check them good with a pry bar they may look ok but you will see there will be a lot of movement in them .
when you brake the arms move forward giving you the thunk then when moving of will thunk back , if you stop and move off slowly the bushings still hold up but under pressure
thunk .
let me know what you find in the arm bushings.

OK, according to 2 mechanics there is no issue with the bushings, infact they couldn't find anything wrong with the suspention at all.

Hi AJ
Did they check the transmission mount?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
i keep saying it's the trans, they keep saying no it's not...i'm clueless now
Expert:  Greg replied 6 years ago.
This is strange as i know these cars very well ,and the bushings i told you are always getting replaced every 8 - 10 years ,Engine and tranny mounts at this time as well .
When you brake and come to a stop you get the feeling that some part on the car stops after you have stopped.

I'm sure the bushings or mounts are bad ,
Dis they check the front bushings on the control arms .
