have 1997 nissan sentra 1.6.egn i rotated crankshaft at tdc. #1 c roter is at # XXXXX isnot on line with pulley but when line marker with pulley rotor is pointing at # XXXXX but piston is on exsoust stroke in stead of compression car will not start gas foul plug changed rotor &cape fireing 1234 on is at passager 1 with one at cape 2 with 2 and ect. why will it not crank

Hello!

With the number one cylinder at tdc, the harmonic balancer should be lined up correctly. If not, the key way or the balancer could have shifted.

Also, if the rotor inside the distributor is not lining up with the number one position on the distributor cap when the number one piston is at tdc, then one of the timing chains could have jumped or broke or I have even seen the distributor shafts twisted causing this problem.

by putting the wrong wires in the wrong sequance cause this and what is the fireing order?
