have you had the vehicle scanned for trouble codes?(most parts places check for free) how many miles? when was the last tune-up and what was done?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
My rodeo has about 73,000 miles on it, I put new plugs and a new air filter and changed the fuel filter at around 55,000.

without codes the first thing I would try is to clean the throttle body. The IAC is part of the throttle body and when carbon deposits develope it causes them to stick. This can cause stalling and performance issues. I use a soft pipe brush and throttle/carb cleaner.

we need to check codes to see if there are misfire codes or sensor failures.

If I would run some Justice Brothers emission cleaner through the system do you think it may help?
Expert:  Ironmike replied 7 years ago.
where do you run it? fuel injection cleaner is good too but it won't get to the throttle body. Must be done by hand.

Where is this IAC located on engine?
Expert:  Ironmike replied 7 years ago.
part of the throttle body assembly, idle air control valve. Controls idle.
