2001 Kia Rio: Car starts ok but is rough idling..runs smooth

This answer was rated:

2001 Kia Rio. Car starts ok but is rough idling until the car warms up, app. 5 minutes.
Turn the car off, turn it on, it runs smooth. Could it be the Air Charge Coolant temperature sensor? Thanks
[email protected] is the check engine light on in the vehicle?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
Yes, the light is on because the gas cap was off. After the car warms up, it runs smooth. Until it does, it will not run well at all. Could it be a Air Charge Coolant Temperature Sensor?? Thanks.
It can be the coolant temp sensor, but it sounds more like a vacuum leak in the intake manifold. I would spray some throttle body cleaner around the intake manifold to see if the idle changes. If it does then that is the problem. If it is not then it may be the coolant temps sensor or the mas air flow sensor.
