Power Windows



Diagnosis & Testing

If all power windows are inoperative, inspect the following:



Wiring, connectors and circuitry Accessory delay relay Driver window control switch Smart junction box

If a single power window is inoperative and it is the drivers window, inspect the following:



Wiring, connectors and circuitry Driver window motor Driver window control switch

If a single power window is inoperative and it is the passenger front window, inspect the following:



Wiring, connectors and circuitry Passenger front window motor Passenger front window control switch Driver window control switch

If any of the rear power windows are inoperative, inspect the following:



Wiring, connectors and circuitry Rear window motor Rear window control switch Driver window control switch

If the -one touch down- feature is inoperative, inspect the driver window control switch

Removal & Installation
Motor & Regulator
Front

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front door glass.
  3. Disconnect the front power window regulator connector.
  4. Remove the nuts, then remove the front power window regulator.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. Torque nuts to 86 inch lbs. (8 Nm).


Rear

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear door glass.
  3. Disconnect the rear power window regulator connector.
  4. Remove the nuts, then remove the rear power window regulator.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. Torque nuts to 86 inch lbs. (8 Nm).


Switch
Main

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front door trim.
  3. Push out the clip from behind the front door trim, and remove the switch panel.
  4. Remove the screws, and remove the power window main switch.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure.


Subswitch
Passenger Side

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the front door trim.
  3. Push out the clip from behind the front door trim, and remove the switch panel.
  4. Remove the screws, and remove the power window sub switch.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure.


Rear

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the hook by inserting a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver between the switch and the rear door trim.
  3. Disconnect the connector, and remove the power window sub switch.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure.

I hope you or someone else can provide me with pictures. That would sure help. Also on the wiring harness which are the wires that I should check. I also plugged in the new motor and it did not work, it got no power because the other buttons and widows and door lock worked. Thanks

i would think that the switch is bad in this case,,,i will opt out,,mabe one of the other guys has pics

No power to motor from that switch position. do you have pictures of installation since someone else took motor out and I don't have it. Also which wires do I check for power since the switch is getting power because the other buttons, windows and lock work normally.
