Gear oil in trans case, before i got home he..clutch assembly..hydro

Resolved Question:

Had a cousin help put gear oil in trans case, before i got home he had put some gear oil in the transnission plug hole right behind the clutch assembly, the plug was one near the top of the case with a line 1/2" long above the access point. Will putting the gear oil i n there cause any problems. i know the clutch is hydro but does that fulid stop at the clutch or does it go back to the case right behind it and should i change all that fluid out before starting it again

The transmission gear box and the transfer case both take gear oil. This will not cause you any problems.


Oil can not be added to the clutch system so you don't have to worry about your clutch fluid being contaminated by gear oil, this is not possible.
