Install or Connect

  • Rotate belt tensioner
  • Serpentine drive belt.
  • Auxiliary bracket and fasteners. .
  • Engine mount assembly to engine mount bracket support bolts.

what is the auxillary bracket and fasteners

Expert:  Ron Z. replied 7 years ago.
The bracket on top of the motor mount. If you've already got it apart, then you've past that point. Removing the mount is just so you can put the belt on (while mount is installed, you can't get the belt around it... obviously)
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
there is a bracket that goes around the powersteering pump pulley that from what i can figure the belt has to somehow go through to line up with the tensioner there is not really enough room to to take all the bolts out to remove that bracket.

After the motor mount is removed, carefully jack up the engine with a floor jack and a piece of wood on the oil pan.
