Do you have the four or six cylinder engine?
Wow, that was fast. Very impressed.
What I have is a V6, 2.7L DOHC, 24-Valve Engine.
What happened was, I bought the car in AL at flight school. I moved to GA with the Army. Yesterday, I brought my car in for it's 60,000 mile mandatory tune-up. When picking it up, I asked if the timing belt was changed because it is in the manual to change at 60,000 and I remember the AL dealer telling me to ensure this was done. The dealer in GA recently bought this service establishment, and doesn't know what they are talking about. They didn't know the 30,000k service is around $200 and the 60,000 is totally different around $600. They charge $600 for every 30,000k and do the same service. Please print me off the dealer guidance and so forth to plead my case. My timing belt needs to be replaced. These people didn't even give me the oil change sticker for my dash.
You are correct the timing belt does need to be replaced and the 30,000 mile service is different than the 60,000 mile service. I will attach the maintenance chart for you:
My expertise is listed at the end of each reply.
The 30,000 is around $250.00
The 60,000 is around $650.00
