Hi there!
If a store is selling out brand new batteries, but they have been sitting for 8-10 months on a wood pallet inside-warm; how good are these batteries for a vehicle , if they would fit the application??? [email protected]

Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX welcome to JA.

Battery shelf life is an important topic. Batteries sulfate and degrade quickly anytime the voltage drops below 12.6 volts. The further they drop, the quicker they degrade.

If these batteries can be tested and found to have above 12.6 volts, they will be just fine. If not, they will likely not last their rated life once installed.

Reputable battery stores test and maintain their inventory. Batteries should be tested and trickle-charged to keep tham at full capacity for long shelf life.

Thanks for the question,
