rear end gear ratio. can i find out by the stamp on axle tube without pulling cover? KJU is stamped on 10.5 full floating.

It is possible to figure out the gear ratio without pulling the cover.

 

Mark a spot on the tire/wheel and mark a spot on the drive shaft. Rotate the tire/wheel one full revolution and count the turns of the drive shaft. The number of turns of the drive shaft is the gear. If it turns 3 3/4 turns it is a 3:73, 3 and 1/2 turns is a 3:55 gear, Just over 3 turns is a 3:08, Just over 4 turns is 4:10, ETC
