the 20A power fuse, which runs the power seats and the keyless entry doesn't work. when it is put into the fuse box, the fuse gets hot enough to cause burns. I know it has something to do with the electrical wires, but i don't know where to look.
Year: 1996Make: OldsmobileModel: Bravada Already Tried: looking for wires not grounded properly. Trying to find additional fuses that are bad, that are connected to the fuse that I am inquiring about.

1996 oldsmobile bravada. miles - 87,963. v6. following wires to see proper grounding.
what you want to start doing is disconnecting items on that circuit first to see if the short is internal to the certain component. give me some time and ill see if i have a wiring diagram for you.

HiCustomer

Is this a fuse or a circuit breaker that you are talking about?

Where is the fuse box that it is installed in and what position in the fuse box? Does it have a label or number near it?

it's a circuit breaker. located in the fuse panel on the driver side door jam.
Remove the breaker and allow it to cool then reinstall it. Once installed test the following items to see if one of them does not respond. 1) Driver power seat in all directions 2) Passenger power seat in all directions 3) Driver lumbar switch 4) Passenger lumbar switch 5) Door lock switches 6) Power window switch On different vehicles I've had the seat switch stick in one position and also had a power window switch stuck in the up position. Both caused the same kind of problem.
