2001 Protege: be towed behind an RV with all wheels

Resolved Question:

We have a Mazda 2001 Protege' ES with manual shift. Can it be towed behind an
RV with all wheels on the ground?

We have a 1995 Mazda Protege' ES with manual shift that we have towed successfully for 13 years.

To answer your question, Mazda front wheel drive transmissions oil from spash from the rotating differential and output shaft. Your 2001 Protege ES uses the F25M-R 5-speed transmission, which happens to be the same transmission that 1995 1.5L Protege ES's use. These transmissions when towed in neutral spin the differential and output shaft, therefore they oil themselves when in tow. You should be fine.
