My immobilizer warning light comes on will this cause it to run for a few seconds then turn of and how do I fix that

helloyes it is a security for your car so no one can start you with out the key.it will run for 3-4 seconds and then cut power to the coil and fuel pump .The immobilizer works with the chip in your key to sink together and tell the car to keep running. The only thin in this system is the immobilizer and the chip in the key you have.the only way to fix this is to bring the key to the dealer with the Vin number or title and have them reprogram the key ( it is not giving the computer the correct code )or the key was damaged by water or a magnet or all by it self.... also call a dealer first because some dealers need the key and the car to do this as the immobilizer may be the one that need to be reprogramed with the key together if you need anything or have more questions please ask
