I have a small travel trailer which weighs around 1600 pounds. I found a hitch for my 2001 SLK 320 with 6 speed manual. Would it be possible for the SLK to tow a small travel trailer. The brand of trailer is T@B which is a kind of modern version of a teardrop trailer. They are made in Germany for small cars. This trailer has been imported to US since 2003. I've seen pictures of the T@B being towed by Mustangs and small Volkswagen sedans. Thanks
Year: 2001Make: Mercedes-BenzModel: SLK 320Engine: V 6 6 Speed Already Tried: I have not purchased the trailer hitch yet. I'm planning to have a 2,000 pound hitch installed Monday morning 8/17 by an experienced hitch install company. I plan to tow my personal water craft, a small utility trailer, and possibly my T@B recreational trailer if it is ok. I need an opinion about how much sense it makes to try hauling the T@B trailer with the SLK 320. The T@B trailer specs can be found at TAB-RV.com
Greetings,According to the spec 1000 lb is the max towing capacity for your vehicle.
