I have 2001 dodge grand caravan I just put a new air compressor on and pugged every thing in.It only has oil in it. the fuse and relay in the fuse box are good but the compressor won't come on.

Are you trying to charge the ac? I assume there is no freon in it yet?

There is no feon just oil and yes I need to charge it.

OK I can help you out. After you vaccuum the system down it will take enough freon without the compressor running to trip the low pressure switch and then the compressor will run. You can also jump the low pressure switch with a paper clip to fool it into starting sooner.

jumping the low pressure will it blow the fuse

If the compressor won't come on by jumping it is there anything else to keep it from coming on.
