2000 Cadillac Seville STS: recently changed engines..coolant system

This answer was rated:

I have a 2000 Cadillac Seville STS and recently changed engines due to an over heating condition. What is the best and fastest way to bleed the air out of the coolant system???
there should be a bleeder valve on the thermostat housing
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
There is no bleeder valve on the thermostat housing on this car.
Let the cooling system get to ambiant temp
Remove the surge tank cap
Start the engine, and let it idle until the thermostat opens
Rev the engine a ferw times, holding it at between 2500 and 3000 rpms
Top off the surge tank and replace the cap
