I am cleaning my alternator and want to remove the shaft to get to the rear bearing. How does the shaft come out?

When I do this I follow the picture and steps below. Thanks


  1. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure.
  2. Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
  3. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
    1. Pulley
    2. Front bracket
    3. Rotor
    4. Rear bracket
    5. Stator
    6. Rectifier
    7. Brush holder assembly
    8. Bearing
