The task takes a little under an hour to complete that cleaning the old gasket and also putting it back together. I have attached step by step instructions with photos. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.


  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fresh air duct.
  3. Drain the engine coolant.

  1. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

  1. Install the thermostat into the thermostat case with the jiggle pin and projection at the top.
  2. Install the thermostat into the thermostat case, aligning the projection on the gasket to the thermostat case.
