2005 suzuki forenza: oil leak..oil filter connects..steady leak.

have 2005 susuki forenza. has oil leak just above where oil filter connects. steady leak. visability is not real good in location. performance of car is normal, no compression loss, just bad leak, any ideas??

Hi,

 

Just above the oil filter is the oil pressure switch. The easiest access to not only replace the oil pressure switch but to inspect that area to verify the leak is coming from there and not coming from further up, which would be with head or valve cover gasket, is to remove the front right wheel and the inner wheel well. Once that is off, you will be able to inspect the area better to verify leak.
