1994 seville sls: of the sensors

Resolved Question:

My 1994 seville sls, the info window says that the car is overheating but the temp is only at 205 or so. Does this mean that the ecm is malfunctioning, or could it be one of the sensors?

hi, and good morning. it is likely that there is in fact a temperature sensor fault, that is causing the information you are receiving. When purchasing the new sensor confirm with the parts person that the sensor is not designed to feed information to the computer, in relation to driveability. Simply put, the sensor you need only gives you information, via info window. There are two temp sensors, the one you need, and one that tells the computer how to proceed with the starting of your vehicle.
